This website is a collaborative project of the students in Brian Noell's (email) "Medieval World of Umberto Eco's Name of the Rose" seminar, sponsored by Saybrook and Silliman Colleges at Yale University in the spring of 2006. Jeff Warren and Gabe Smedresman designed the website and produced composites of the manuscript pages. Content was provided by Mary Hollis, Lauren Simpson, Paul Goehrke, Matt Aleksinas, Caitlin Clarke, Helen Rittelmeyer, Sam Spears, and Drew Collins. Translations are by Brian Noell. We would like to thank Bob Babcock, Curator of Medieval and Renaissance Manuscripts, and the rest of the Beinecke Library staff for welcoming us into the library and producing a digital copy of the manuscript. We also owe our gratitude to Pam Patterson from Yale's Instructional Technology Group, who helped with final editing and provided assistance in mounting the site on the Yale server.
